SUSAN GILBERT knew she was a writer when she was twelve, but life got in the way for a while. She grew up mainly in Sussex and Kent, then moved north of Watford for too long. Now she's at home in St leonards. She writes fiction, plays, blogs, researched articles and some poetry. She is a former member of Script Yourshire and her play, "The Single Utamaro", won first prize at the Snowgoose Writer's Festival in 2009. It was staged at the Bradford Playhouse and later at the Carriageworks Theatre, Leeds.
Susan is currently completing a novel and preparing contributions to the St Leonards Writers fifth anthology.
